Clean Water

In 2016, Blair in Kenya partnered with Living Waters for the World to install a clean water filtration system.

The system provides:

  • Safe drinking water for students


  • Clean water for the medical clinic


  • Improved sanitation and hygiene

The long-term goal is to drill a freshwater well to provide a permanent water source.

Days for Girls Program

Since 2017, Blair in Kenya has supported menstrual health education and the distribution of reusable menstrual kits.

Girls entering Grade 7 receive a kit that provides three years of menstrual care.

The program is led locally by trained teachers and student ambassadors.

Across the region:

  • Over 2,400 kits have been distributed

  • 
Programs reach 10+ schools

Each kit costs $15.

Technology & Digital Learning

In 2025, Blair in Kenya installed:

  • Starlink satellite internet


  • 20 new computers

In 2026, the program expanded with:

  • 15 additional computers


  • Solar panels for reliable electricity

Students now receive computer training and digital learning opportunities.

Nutrition Program

Students receive morning porridge made from maize and millet.

Most students also receive a hot lunch, typically beans with rice or vegetables.

For some children, this may be their most reliable meal of the day.

Life Beyond the Classroom

Students participate in programs that build leadership and community engagement including:

  • Sports programs


  • Scouting programs

  • Environmental clubs

  • 
Tree planting initiatives

  • Community gardening

Students help plant mango and avocado trees, supporting both nutrition and economic opportunity.
